At PBL, our goal is to solve some of the major challenges facing large-scale bioproduction via innovative 3D light-assisted programming of matter.
We envision a future where objects are produced, mechanisms triggered and materials handled purely by photons. Nature achieves much if not all of its evolution through the interactions of light and matter. Operations as complex as food production, life and evolution itself. We're here to perfect our engineering and scientific prowess in harnessing this massive potential.
The University College London Institute for Materials Discovery (IMD) is at the forefront of the design and manufacture of novel and sustainable materials to combat the ever-pressing global challenges. The IMD is home to the Programmable Biomaterials Lab led by Dr. Hossein Heidari.
Visit us at the majestic Marshgate Building in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London.
PBL is the focal point of Biomaterials Discovery and Innovation, Process Modelling and Optomechanical Design. We believe that the three elements go hand in hand and should be studied and developed in tandem.
In each area we partner with leading industries and research labs across the globe. The network effect not only accelerates us towards the solutions but also facilitates swift productization of our platforms.
We are always looking for brilliant minds. We also believe that diverse thinking is what creates brilliant breakthroughs. Send us an email, and we will get back to you soon.
